Dark Media Site: Cape Fear Community College

For this project, I created a dark media site for Cape Fear Community College, which is one of the forms that risk communication can take. A dark site is a pre-developed, non-visible website that is activated in the event of a crisis or emergency. While multiple risks exist for Cape Fear Community College, the dark site that I developed is focused on a hurricane threat. This is an appropriate topic to focus on because of the location and proximity of CFCC to the coastal region.

Considering potential threats and crises and developing communications that can be activated in a time of need is an important responsibility of an IMC professional. The CFCC dark media site proves that I am capable of developing resources and communication strategies that are valuable before and during a crisis event.
